It has been about ten years since I started this memorial website in honor of my Uncle Bob, the glass wizard, and the Hamon glass family, as well, and unfortunately, I have been rather remiss in adding content to the site and keeping the site up to date. For the first five years, my convenient excuses were a busy private practice that left me little free time, and for the past five years or so I went back to school for another degree—a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, and now I am busy working on no less than three books: a coming-of-age novel, a Creative Nonfiction book, and a collection of literary short stories. So, as you can see, I never run out of excuses. But my new year’s resolution is to do a better job with Robert L. Hamon Glass and to write new material on at least a semi-regular basis. So, glass lovers, get ready for some exciting new developments this year. I plan to offer some of the greatest marbles in the world for sale, as well, marbles made by the master marble maker himself. As I write this blurb, I am surrounded by my uncle’s glass creations, and I allow them to inspire me in all that I do. And something tells me they all have stories to tell, and I will try to tell them as best as I can, given the white gloves of memory, and the blurring pall of time. Please check back with us in the near future for a new article about Robert L. Hamon and his incredible glass art. Thanks so much—Richard Hamon II
